Now Playing on my iPod...

Like a lot of people, I go through phases with the music I listen to. For the past few weeks I've been solidly in a Weepies phase. They are wonderful. Happy, thoughtful, wistful, melodic folk/pop. Here are a few of my favorites.

The first Weepies song I heard, which I still think is one of their best.

Here's the song I wish we had danced to at our wedding. (And in case you're curious, here's the song we actually danced to. I know, SO cheesy, but it's meaningful to us from our high school days, and it hit the radio waves in 1993, the year we met. Please don't judge me.)

And one more for good measure - I sing this one all day long. It's Eric's favorite.

Now it's your turn. What are you listening to these days?

  1. love the weepies - and LOVE that clay monster!!!

    - that's actually not a bad acoustic version of heaven - why do i always prefer acoustic versions?

  2. Kirsten, I always prefer acoustic versions too. That's the actual version we used at our wedding, I like that it's not quite as 80s sounding. Not that there's anything wrong with the 80s.

  3. I am terrible at listening to new music, finding new music, embracing new music. The median date of my ipod music is probably 1991. Sad. But I LOVE the Weepies now that you have introduced us! I will email the tech nerd in the family immediately and tell him to find me some Weepies. NOW.

  4. Arianne, I'm glad you like them too! I have a hard time finding new music too, usually when I do it's from listening to XM radio or the soundtrack to Grey's Anatomy. Kind of sad. LOL

Give it to me straight!
