#1 Songs

Ever wonder what the number one song in the U.S. was on the day you were born? Now you can find out at this site. (Thanks Tiburon for posting this first!) You can search any date all the way back to the 1890s. Very cool! I've had fun looking up dates and laughing at the songs that came up.

My birthday: "Stayin' Alive" by The Bee Gees
Eric's birthday: "Night Fever" by The Bee Gees (it was a big year for them!)
My high school graduation: "Tha Crossroads" by Bone thugs-n-harmony
The day I entered the MTC: "Smooth" by Rob Thomas (I left behind some good music!)
The day we got engaged: "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback
Our wedding day: "Foolish" by Ashanti (I had to listen to a clip in iTunes to remember what this was)
My college graduation: "In Da Club" by 50 Cent
Sawyer's birthday: "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani (supremely awful, sorry Sawyer!)

What are some of your number one songs?

  2. The top song on my birthday was Every Breath You Take by the Police. I've always thought that song was sort of creepy.
Aaron's birthday song was My Sharona. That makes me laugh.

  3. Sorry Christie, but I can't stand that song! Eric Snider describes my feelings about it very accurately.

Katy, Kind of a creepy song...but in general I think The Police are/were really cool. Way cooler than the Bee Gees anyway! And Aaron's is hilarious. I think I heard somewhere that George W. Bush has "My Sharona" on his iPod and listens to it when he runs. That just makes it so much better.
